FN103 – First Nations Heritage Recovery and Interpretation
The learning methods for this course are predominantly project based and experiential. Classes may be rearranged to accommodate weather and seasonal conditions. This course will, by necessity and design, follow the Seasonal Round of local First Nations. It will allow students to be directly involved in the creation of cultural structures, features, tools and other items that are consistent with First Nations cultures in this area. Students will also learn the skills needed for interpretation of sites of interest to tourists, natural features and other cultural events or displays. Students will be required to work independently and in teams. Physical and dexterous work will also be required.
